Just watched the season 4 premiere and my bf and I agree, this show really should have stayed at the first season. Everything since then has felt kinda tired.

Don't get me wrong, I can merrily perv on David Duchovny every week (he's hot for an older guy) but the show itself feels a little flat.

Got any other fans out there who can maybe argue the case for the show and why I should keep watching?

Despite being a long-time Duchuvny fan (which in itself is inspite of the fact I know he's not the easiest dude to work with - not popular on the X-Files set by all accounts lol) I couldn't get into this. I don't think I've even seen a full episode.

It's quite infantile at times for a show about a 40 year old dude, but he has total commitment phobia, and a variety of other vaguely douchey issues to deal with.
