He's sick right now, but I think Kate will back me up when I say totally looking hotter than Joel right now!!! I was having issues when they first came over here, cos he's ditched all the lip piercings, and I thought he looked really odd without them. Then I saw him on stage and all was forgiven!

Saw the Devin Townsend Project earlier this month. Fucking awesome show, had an amazing time. So much so that when I read that DTP are doing 4 shows later this year, each one being one of the most recent albums played in full, I booked tickets straight away. Got Ki and Ghost shows, waiting for Addicted and Deconstruction to be released. Something to look forward to once Download is over.

The DTP shows were amazing, have booked to see them again at the end of 2012.

Saw Marillion before Christmas which was just lovely.

Dream Theater last week which was fucking awesome. The new album is brilliant and they were even better live this time than back in August. Mangini = Love in a major way, his solo this time left me with my jaw on the floor.

Young Guns on Monday night, should be awesome assuming I can learn the new songs before then, only got the album this morning! Got a tweet from their lead singer just now which sort of left me flailing a bit Wink

Yeah, Young Guns were awesome but the second support band were who really caught my eye.

They are called Polar, and they apologised for being the only hardcore band on a pop punk bill, my friend screamed "I prefer you!" which they later thought was hilarious when we spoke to them. We bought their EP and they all signed it, lovely bunch of lads, very chatty and genuinely seemed happy that we came over to see them. Kinda kicking myself that I didn't ask for a setlist, but meh, I'll see them again!

They are touring the UK in May and I'm hoping they add some dates to their current line-up that are closer to me, cos at the moment I'm gonna be travelling a fair way to see them.
